Snooz'n

A while ago a friend of mine introduced me to a hip new breakfast place in town called "Snooze."  We were skeptical at first, but quickly won over.  They cater to all diets and their restaurant layout is one of the coolest ones I've seen (when it warms up in the afternoon the walls slide up, like garage doors, so suddenly you're eating outside).  They are known for their "OMG French Toast" but instead I had a salmon eggs benedict and James had hash browns and a pancake (a la carte) because he couldn't settle on just one thing.  Seriously, anyone who comes to visit us anytime soon is going to Snooze whether they want to or not.

The Next Level

On President's Day James and I decided to take a hike up to the top of our local mountain-landmark, Black Mountain Summit.  It's steep and hard to get up, but once you're up there the view is worth it all.  I really wish I had a great aperture to capture it all, but unfortunately my camera only goes up to f/11 and eventually the background blurred together with the sky.  Nevertheless we had a great time and I even taught the hubbs a little something about shutter speed.  The weather was weird all day and the light kept changing but on the bright side we were able to catch some great sunrays on the way down.  Like a hug from God. :)

Taking things to the next level! ;)

(see that mountain back there?! we hiked that!)

Valentine's Day

I had a great Valentine's Day with my hubby this year, but you know a day isn't great if you don't have the pictures to prove it! :P  Well anyway, we headed up to a local park and tested out my tripod for the first time and here are the results.

And then there was dinner!

Hope yours was a great one!

Go Pack Go!

2/10/2014 05:07:00 PM Unknown 0 Comments

My husband is a man of few words and simple passions.  He's the quiet guy in the group and the nice guy who [thought he would] finish last.  He's a huge sweetheart and the love of my life.  The things that he is passionate about are usually a pretty big deal in our household, and one of those things is football.  He loves the sport, but moreover he loves the Green Bay Packers.  Everyone seems to have taken notice because we have just about every Packer related item you can buy, even salt and pepper shakers!

Since today marks one and half years of marriage for us I decided to make him a special latte as opposed to his usual... this one was made with extra love!!!  (This is also my best attempt thus far at Latte Art..)  Then I played in Lightroom with different filters:

He enjoyed every last sip :P
