Baby Cassandra

Before James and I moved to San Diego I was working full-time for a company called PT Industries and I was training to take over for my supervisor who would be leaving on maternity leave in just a few months.  It was right at the beginning of my photography career and I asked her if she would let me take photos of her baby when she was born.  A lot changed after that, including my relocation, but when Baby Cassandra was born I still wanted to make the trip up to take her photos, and boy am I glad I did.  She was the BEST baby; she was milk-drunk and sleepy by the time I got there, letting us pose her however we wanted and also giving us a few smiles.  I had only ever shot two other newborns before this, so again it was a great learning experience.  Thank you Liz!

Baby Boelter P. II

After months of waiting and weeks of anticipation, Kayla and Shayne finally found out the gender of their baby--it's a boy!  This was a momentous occasion as Shayne had been rooting for a boy since day 1, and had it been a girl he joked he would leave her at the hospital (joked!).  So we headed over to Old Poway Park and snagged a few of those Pinterest-y shots with the balloons, blue for a boy and pink for a girl.  I wish the pink balloons had been a little pinker, but aside from that I love this shoot!!

Baby Boelter P. I

Hello, world!  I am sorry I have neglected this blog, but since my last post I have had my part-time office gig turn into a full blown, full-time office and design position and I have just had no time.  Not to mention, after sitting in front of a computer all day, it's not the first thing I want to do when I get home...  But alas, there is too much good stuff going on in the world of DOSKOFOTO not to share with you all now!

In February we found out that my younger sister, Kayla, and her hubby were expecting their first child in October, so we had to take some announcement photos to tell the world:

The baby was so small at that time, you can hardly see him in this photo.....  Did I say him? ;)
Stay tuned for more!
