Slacker of the Year
Well I think if there were an award for Slacker of the Year it would go to me--for never updating this blog! As some of you may know, this isn't my only blog (you can find my personal blog here), and I have to confess sometimes I forget about this one sometimes! I love posting photos of clients and my latest shoots, but sometimes its not my top priority and it gets put on the back burner, and then I notice it's been months since my last post... But hopefully things will be changing! As I am doing more and more shoots and as my confidence alongside my business continues to grow, I have a list of goals I want to achieve and one of them is staying more active on social media. I have intentionally reduced my time spent on most sites (primarily Facebook) because I wanted to live more genuinely in the present as opposed to online, but I realize that apart from my personal life, businesses live and die by their marketing and social media presence, so you know what that means...Anyway, tomorrow is the BIG DAY! It's Yessenia's wedding and I couldn't be happier/more nervous/more excited to take part in it as photographer. If you don't remember, Yessenia is the person who essentially "got me into photography" and taught me most of the basics. She's encouraged me and helped me flourish in many ways this year, and for that I am truly grateful. This wedding is over a year in the making and I can't wait to see how all her details come together to create a beautiful day--and I'm in charge of capturing it all! :O
So this is my vow, to update this site more regularly and keep everyone up to date on the work I'm doing and the directions I'm headed. I already have a few insights as to what is in store for the end of the year (and 2015--holy cow!) so I can't wait to share them all here when the time is right.
Thank you, any and all readers! xx
